An Apologetics Problem for the KJVO and Textus Receptus Only Believer

Just a thought about KJVO and TRO believers and apologetics. If the Alexandrian family of texts is no good, or is of Satanic origin, the John Rylands Papyrus (P52) cannot be used in apologetics arguments in favor of an early date of the New Testament Gospels. * To use the JRP, one must then acknowledge the practical worth of the Alexandrian text family. * See also Wiki 1 , 2 , and KCH.

That’s true… There’s probably also some application of that logic to the writings of the church fathers and the use of the Latin Vulgate.

The vast amount of church father quotations as well as the many existing copies of the Vulgate that we have are often used to bolster the numbers of existing witnesses to the New Testament texts. Since they are generally Alexandrian in nature, the KJVO/TRO proponents would have to throw those large numbers out thereby seeming to make a weaker case.
